MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – An art exhibition titled as Colors of Cultural Diplomacy opened in the National History Museum in Minsk on 5 September, BelTA has learned.
The exhibition is timed to the 25th anniversary of Belarus-Ecuador diplomatic relations. The exhibition features works by Pedro Valdivieso and Yuri Podolin. Pedro Valdivieso is a counsellor for cultural cooperation of the Embassy of Ecuador in Belarus and a curator of many international art projects. Yuri Podolin is an assistant professor at the Monumental and Decorative Art Chair of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, member of the Belarusian Union of Artists.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador to Belarus Leopoldo Enrique Rovayo Verdesoto took part in the opening ceremony. He underlined the importance of such cultural projects for the future advancement of bilateral cooperation. Representatives of the diplomatic corps, creative intellectuals, reporters, and Ecuadorian students, who go to Belarusian universities, were also present during the ceremony.
Ecuadorian music was performed by a string quartet of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts during the opening ceremony.
