MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – 2014 Olympics champion Anton Kushnir of Belarus showed the best result among 12 finalists to claim his third gold of the season, wining the FIS Freestyle World Cup in Korea’s Bokwang, BelTA has learned.
Anton Kushnir scored a total of 119.47 points, edging Chinese ace Guangpu Qi by just 0.92 points. Bronze went to Mac Bohonnon of the United States (116.74).
Two other Belarusians failed to qualify for the final. Stanislav Gladchenko finished 19th, Maksim Gustik placed 25th.
In the women’s event Belarus’ Aleksandra Romanovskaya placed fourth with a total of 53.36 points.
Anton Kushnir also won the Aerials World Cup in China’s Beida Lake and the Lake Placid World Cup.
The next FIS Freestyle World Cup will be hosted by Raubichi Olympic Center on 25 February.
