MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) – Innovative solutions and best practices in anti-doping education, anti-doping rules, regulations and policies worldwide and other doping-related issues will be discussed at an international seminar to be hosted by the National Olympic Committee of Belarus on 27 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Sports and Tourism Ministry.
Among the speakers will be project manager at the International Testing Agency Pedro Goncalves, Director General at the Eastern Europe Anti-Doping Organization Teimuraz Ukleba, deputy head of RUSADA educational programs department Valeriya Konova, a representative of the Institute of Anti-Doping Organizations, a representative of the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency, President of the Cyprus Anti-Doping Authority Michael Petrou. The participants of the seminar will discuss protection of rights of clean athletes, the role and responsibility of team members in the fight against prohibited substances and other matters.
The event is organized by the Sports and Tourism Ministry, the National Olympic Committee and the National Anti-Doping Agency.
