MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) - The anthem of the Belarus-Russia Union State "Angel Over Chagall’s City" will be premiered during the concert “The Union State Invites… Connecting Time and Space” at the 24th International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk on 10 July, BelTA learned from composer Vadim Ruzov.
The song with a light lyrical tune tells about the festival Vitebsk, the city over the Dnieper, the friendship of the two peoples of Belarus and Russia. Vadim Ruzov said he had the idea of this song a few years ago. "I am a frequent guest at the Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk and during one of the visits I had this image – the angel over Chagall’s city. When the director of the concert “The Union State. Connecting Time and Space…” asked me to write a song that would connect the two themes – the arts festival and the Union State, I reached out to poet Anastasia Lebedeva. She materialized this concept, wrote very beautiful lyrics which easily fit the tune," said the composer.
The song will be the final chord of the concert. It will be performed by People's Artist of Belarus Anatoly Yarmolenko and the Syabry band, the winner of the TV project "Singing Cities” Anastasia Leikina, Anzhelika Varum and Leonid Agutin, The Voice winner Alexandra Vorobyeva and the Sretensky Monastery choir. The concept of the concert is very interesting and will allow the artists to communicate the idea of the song to the audience, Vadim Ruzov said.
