MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ Anna Karaseva and her Harlequin placed second at the FEI World Cup leg in Ratomka, BelTA has learned.
In the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music event Anna Karaseva scored 75.45% out of 100% points. Russia’s Inessa Merkulova and her horse scored 75.67% to claim gold. Third was Russia’ Marina Aframeyeva and her Wax (74.27%).
Russia has already won three Olympic berths. Belarus in Rio will be represented in another discipline, eventing, by Yelena Telepushkina.
The program in Ratomka included Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special, Grand Prix Freestyle to Music, Prix St-Georges, Intermediate I, Intermediate I Freestyle to Music, Junior Team Competition, Junior Individual Competition, Junior Freestyle to Music, Preliminary Tests and Finals for Young Horses.
Belarusian riders won 16 (7 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze) medals.
