MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – Andrei Vasilevsky of Belarus and Chile’s Hans Podlipnik Castillo won the men’s double event at the Tashkent Open 2017, BelTA has learned.

In the final the Belarusian-Chilean tandem beat the Indian duo of Yuki Bhambri and Divij Sharan 6-4, 6-2.

Belarus’ Arina Sobolenko, ranked 102 in the world, has reached the Tianjin Open semifinal. She will play Sara Errani of Italy (World No.280). In the other semifinal former world number one Maria Sharapova (currently ranked 86) will take on China’s world number 25 Peng Shuai.

The semifinals are scheduled for 14 October, with the final due on 15 October.
