MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – About 30 countries will take part in the Belarusian International Media Forum Partnership for the Future due in Minsk and Minsk Oblast on 11-14 September, Deputy Director of Information and Analytical Center at the Belarusian Information Ministry Galina Gusakova told journalists, BelTA has learned.
“The forum will see about 300 countries this year. The event will be attended by representatives of 30 CIS and non-CIS countries. Vietnam, Mongolia, Bangladesh will take part in the forum for the first time. We also expect guests from Germany, France, Austria, Bulgaria, USA, and Israel,” Galina Gusakova said.
According to Galina Gusakova, exchange of views among different countries will be quite interesting and will help find common ground and discuss many issues. The forum should be productive.
The event is held in the context of the digitization of the Eurasian Economic Union, the development of the digital economy and the information society in Belarus, qualitative changes in the activity of modern mass media. Special attention will be given to digital formats of media work, new media management technologies, cross-border information challenges and threats caused by an inflow of numerous online publications into the public life.
The main events will include a plenary session of the media forum with thematic panel discussions, a school of journalism that will include master classes of leading foreign and Belarusian journalists.
