About 1m children to take part in Belarus’ Our Children charity event

MINSK, 29 December (BelTA) – Speaking in a new episode of the Strana Govorit [Country Talks] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel, Yelena Simakova, deputy head of the main department of educational work and youth policy of the Education Ministry, revealed the number of children taking part in the festivities as part of the country’s charity campaign Our Children in 2022.

The official said that more than 20,000 children would participate in the events of the Our Children campaign at the national level. However, according to Yelena Simakova, this number will be much bigger across the country. “The regional events will see some 200,000 children among participants. If we take villages and small towns, schools and kindergartens, we can say that up to 1 million children will partake in the Our Children campaign in general throughout the country,” said Yelena Simakova.
