MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) – A seven-year-old girl from Belarus made it into the top ten at the European semifinal of the prestigious international children’s ballet competition Youth America Grand Prix 2016 in Paris, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian embassy in France.
Belarusian participant Vera Shpakovskaya, a student of the Minsk Ballet School Vezhnovets, was ranked inside the top ten among 86 competitors aged 8-12. The girl was invited to the Berlin Ballet Academy.
The embassy stressed that Vera Shpakovskaya was the first representative of Belarus at the competition. “During the selection round the girl won the hearts of the organizers of the competition.
