The foreign journalists got accreditation not only from the organizing committee but also from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be able to conduct their professional activities on the territory of Belarus during the world championship.
Fans were the main topic of discussion between the organizing committee and mass media. Maksim Koshkalda, the promotion coordinator of the AMF Futsal Men's World Cup, noted that Pinsk is going to receive most of the fans coming from abroad. These will be the supporters of the Russian team. He said with reference to the Ticketpro ticket operator that some 2,500 tickets were sold to foreign residents via the Internet. Around 800 tickets were acquired by the embassies of the countries partaking in the tournament. Members of the organizing committee suppose that many foreign fans will buy tickets on their arrival in Belarus. It was earlier reported that some 250 Venezuelan fans are expected to come to Belarus.
Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Hall Igor Karpenko noted that this time in Minsk there will not be hospitality zones as large as during the 2014 IIHF World Championship. However, there will be a special zone with retail outlets near Minsk Arena and a traditional fair near the Palace of Sports. He also pointed out that the 2015 AMF Futsal Men's World Cup will be followed by the 31st European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, and the retail outlets will continue providing the spectators with food, drinks, and souvenirs. Both the sports events are of great importance to the city and to the country in general, Igor Karpenko emphasized.
Belarusian First Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Alexander Gagiyev pointed out that the upcoming events are of particular importance for the Belarusian event tourism. He noted that everything is ready for the 2015 AMF Futsal Men's World Cup and expressed hope that the matches will be unpredictable and interesting.
