RIO DE JANEIRO, 9 August (BelTA) - Leader of the Belarusian national sailing team (Laser Radial Olympic class) Tatyana Drozdovskaya currently goes 14^th in the Rio 2016 qualifying, BelTA has learned.

Two heats took place in Guanabara Bay on 8 August, in which Tatyana Drozdovskaya finished 23^rd and 11^th to score a total of 34 points. She is 14^th in the overall standings. Yachtswomen have eight heats ahead. Ten best athletes will compete for medals in the final.

Nikita Tsirkun of Belarus is currently 25^th (with 48 points) in the men's RS:X windsurf class. The table is led by Britain's Nick Dempsey with two points. The 19-year-old Belarusian has nine more heats to take part in.
