International Hot Air Balloon Cup of Belarus

The weather was not perfect for ballooning. The launch on the first evening was postponed due to strong wind. However, professionals had a chance to demonstrate their skills in sports and exhibitions programs. They also set a world record worthy of the Guinness Book of Records. On the second day of the competitions Minsk 1 Airport played host to the launch of 54 hot air balloons. The balloons made a 22km journey to the south-east of the city in an effort to set a record of the biggest number of hot air balloons flying over the capital of the state for the Guinness Book.
