Maslenitsa in Minsk

Celebrations in Minsk started with a big Maslenitsa fair at the Palace of Sports. Stalls and small souvenir shops, music program, entertainment and tasting of delicious dishes attracted visitors to the city downtown. Cooks offered a large selection of "grandma" pancakes made according to old recipes: pancakes with butter and sour cream, bacon and sausages, poppy seeds and jam.
