Walking the Sula rite (Gomel District) is recognized as Belarus' intangible historical and cultural heritage. The corresponding status was approved by the resolution of the Belarusian Culture Ministry on 19 March 2019.

This tradition unites residents of the villages of Gadichevo and Markovichi in Gomel District. Following the Easter service at St Catherine Church in the village of Gadichevo girls wearing original outfits gather at the intersection to make round dances, sing songs and head for the village of Markovichi. The festival culminates in entertainment and refreshments at the rural cultural center.
