Belarus vs UAE (12-7)

The first day of the competitions culminated in a spectacular game of the ten-time champion Team of the President of Belarus against 2017 bronze medalist Team of the United Arab Emirates. Up 6-0 after the first period, Belarus gave the UAE a chance to narrow the gap to 7-8. The two-hour match ended in a 12-7 victory thanks to a hat trick of Belarusian forward Andrei Astashevich.
