Switzerland vs China (7-4)

Ahead of the official opening – on 4 January – Switzerland, whose best finish was a fourth in 2010, faced Team China that have come to the Christmas tournament for the first time.

In the opening game the Alpine team, which took part in 11 editions of the tournament, proved stronger against the debutant – 7-4.
