It has been 18 years since Belarus first welcomed the Peace Light lit from the Lampion of the Bethlehem Basilica of the Nativity of Christ. This tradition begun in Europe in 1986. The Bethlehem light, the symbol of a kind heart, love and faith that you want to share with your loved ones, arrived in Belarus accompanied by Catholic scouts on 19 December. The light was first delivered to the Cathedral of St. Francis Xavier in Grodno and then shared across Belarus.
