New BelGee car factory opens in Belarus: the flagship Geely Atlas, a cutting-edge assembly line, and competitive positions of the Belarusian car

The Belarusian automotive industry has passed another milestone: a BelGee car factory was officially inaugurated on 17 November 2017. The company located somewhere between Borisov and Zhodino is one of a kind in Belarus. Built in cooperation with Chinese partners, the factory is expected to manufacture up to 60,000 cars a year. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko visited the state-of-the-art car factory on the inauguration day to check out the first cars rolling off the assembly line.
