The centenary of the October Revolution in Gomel

A time capsule unveiling ceremony took place at the Gomel monument Mound of Glory on 7 November to mark the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution. Buried in 1967, the time capsule contained a message to future generations. A new time capsule with a message to the future was sealed later on 7 November 2017.

“This text will by no means be politically motivated. It will be about wishing a happy life and peaceful sky to the independent country,” noted Irina Dovgalo, head of the main department for ideology, culture, and youth affairs at the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.
