Minsk Citizen of the Year 2017 awards ceremony

The ceremony to award the best residents of the Belarusian capital, holders of the Minsk Citizen of the Year 2017 Award took place at the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater on 9 September. Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets presented the awards – diplomas and badges – to 13 Minsk residents in recognition of their achievements in labor and a considerable contribution to the social, economic and cultural development of the city.

"The true patriots of Minsk have gathered here today. I would like to thank everyone who helps this city become more successful," Andrei Shorets said at the ceremony.
