Beautiful summer Minsk: streets and avenues, famous attractions and best bird’s-eye views

The year 2017 is a special year for Minsk: the beloved city celebrates the 950th anniversary. Most likely its history began much earlier but the first documented mention of Minsk dates back to the 11th century. According to the ancient Tale of Bygone Years, a legendary battle on the Nemiga River in Mensk took place  on 3 March 1067 between the troops of the Prince Vseslav of Polotsk and the Yaroslavychi dynasty.

Hundreds events have been held in Minsk to celebrate the anniversary. The major ones will take place pm 8-10 September as the city celebrates the City Day. A great reason to come to Minsk and join the fun!
