Minsk’s historical center — the Upper Town — can be rightfully called a multinational quarter of the city. During this year’s festival season the place welcomed guests virtually every weekend for celebrations of various nations and cultures of the world: Korean, Polish, Ukrainian, Georgian, Italian culture… Jewish Culture Day was celebrated in front of Minsk Town Hall on 25 September.
Exhibitions, master classes, and the Jewish food festival showcased the national traditions, customs and the national legacy of Israel. The program included exhibition performances of Israeli Krav Maga masters, quizzes, contests, concerts, and entertainments for children.
The festival was organized by the Minsk City Council and the Union of Jewish Public Associations and Communities in Belarus with the assistance of the Embassy of Israel in Belarus, the Israel Culture Center.
