On 24 September, Italy-Belarus Friendship Festival was held in the Upper Town, the historical part of the city which traditionally hosts the city’s largest cultural events. Visitors to the festival had a chance to learn more about Italy, the birthplace of high fashion, exquisite cuisine, the world’s tastiest pizza and aromatic espresso.
The program included performances by local art groups, fashion shows, master-classes by chefs of Minsk restaurants, showcases by Italian producers, and tastings of national cuisine dishes… The visitors of the festival could try their hand as street artists, recall their favorite characters from children’s books and enjoy a commedia dell’arte performed by actors of the Maxim Gorky National Academic Drama Theater.
The centerpiece of the festival was Salento tambourines and melodic Belarusian dulcimers. Children’s folk groups Tamburellisti di Otranto and Dudariki gave a joint concert "Music for a Friend: Let's Grow Up Together".
