Belarus parliamentary elections 2016: VOTING GETS UNDERWAY

The voting in the parliamentary elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus officially started on 6 September. Early voting is a common practice in the world.  Belarusian voters also have the opportunity to cast a vote before Election Day. At this point, 488 candidates are standing in the elections, although initially the Central Electoral Commission registered 521 candidates.
