Team Belarus in Rio: silver medalist Vadim Streltsov

The Belarusian weightlifter Vadim Streltsov came to Rio Games as the world’s reigning champion and one of the main contenders for the Olympic medals. The Belarusian (-94kg) finished second with a combined lift of 395kg (175kg+220kg), eight kilograms behind Iran’s Sohrab Moradi. Aurimas Didzbalis of Lithuania took bronze, lifting a combined 392kg.
