Belarus at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games 2016

Team Belarus was among the best dressed at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games 2016. The collection designed by Yulia Latushkina is called "Sports Belarus. Power of Victories". It features three main colors: white, the color of national apparel; red, the color of the Olympic flame and the sun as a symbol of life; grey, the color of flax linen which has long been used in Belarus to make clothes. Another signature feature of the Team Belarus ceremony outfit was beautiful national ornamental patterns which carry much importance in the culture of Belarusians.
