Roses named after the artist burst into blossom in the courtyard of Marc Chagall Museum. The flowers were gift of a resident of Vitebsk. The woman planted three rose bushes near the painter’s house in Pokrovskaya Street this spring.
The new variety of roses "Marc Chagall" of the floribunda group was presented to the public in 2013 to mark the painter’s birthday in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France. The rose went on sale in spring 2014. These fragrant beauties broke into blossom in Chagall’s homeland this summer.
