Belarus celebrates 25 years of independence. A military parade in honor of the country's main holiday was held in Minsk on 3 July – the historical day when Minsk was liberated from the Nazi invaders in the summer of 1944. According to tradition, the parade was conducted along Masherov and Pobeditelei Avenues where the Minsk Hero City Stele and the Museum of the Great Patriotic War are located. The parade featured the Minsk garrison troops, war-era and modern military equipment and a flyover.
