The Belarusian Industrial Forum 2016 opened in Minsk on 3 May. The forum allowed over 200 companies from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Germany, and other countries to present state-of-the-art technologies and equipment. The large-scale international exhibition project has been held since 1997. In the last five years it attracted about 50,000 leading specialists from all over the world.
This year’s forum focused on innovation-driven and investment-driven development of Belarus. Today the country’s production sector comprises over 100 industries, with its share in the GDP close to 30%. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko noted during the forum that despite dependence on external factors and tough competition on the international market “while making plans for the next five-year term as well as business plans for major industrial enterprises for the period till 2030 we intend to accomplish one concrete goal: it should be the time for innovative and investment development of the country. There is no other way”.
The exhibition area of the Football Arena offered a close look at cutting-edge technologies and state-of-the-art products from various branches and areas ranging from robot technologies to 3D printing… The stands of Belarusian and foreign manufacturers showcased equipment and instruments, energy systems and electric technology tools, future technologies and the products that have already earned a reputation on the global market.
Innovations by Belarusian scientists were in the spotlight of the forum. Many are unparalleled in the world and draw attention with colossal possibilities even in the development stage. For instance, the product range included an industrial-grade 3D printer, a future bus stop, and a compact car for rural areas, which definitely invoked interest in companies from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.
New models and modifications of Belarusian machines and vehicles occupied a special place during the forum as well as a wide choice of products made by top Belarusian industry enterprises…
