Maslenitsa celebrations at Belarusian State Museum of Vernacular Architecture and Ethnic Heritage

The Museum of Vernacular Architecture and Ethnic Heritage located near Minsk celebrated Maslenitsa with traditional folk games and activities on 12 March. Its guests enjoyed tours of the museum, performances by folk song and dance companies, and horse and sleigh rides. Besides, they were treated to pancakes and other Maslenitsa dishes. The celebrations ended with the symbolic burning of an effigy of the goddess Morena.
