A new square – the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus – was officially inaugurated in Pobeditelei Avenue in 2013. This landmark place has all statehood symbols: a huge flag of Belarus flying on a 70-meter flagpole, a bronze emblem which is two meters in diameter, the text of the national anthem, the country’s map, and granite steles with the emblems of six oblasts and Minsk. For flower arrangements designers use the traditional Belarusian patterns.
