2015 AMF Futsal Men's World Cup in Belarus: CHAMPIONS AND PRIZEWINNERS

The 2015 AMF Futsal Men's World Cup concluded with a big victory of Colombia in Minsk on 25 April. The world cup was hosted by a European state for the first time in the last 24 years. After the nine competition days that were rich in events, President of the International Futsal Federation (AMF) Rolando Alarcon Rios said that this year’s championship was the best in its history. Over 50,000 spectators attended the matches hosted by five Belarusian cities. The athletes who took part in the tournament did not only demonstrate their skills but also got acquainted with the country. For example, the Belgium team visited the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the Czech athletes visited Brest Fortress, and the Brazilian futsal players gave a lesson of physical education at a Minsk school…

Dario Herrera of Paraguay and Marcio Sebastian of Uruguay were named the 2015 AMF Futsal Men’s World Cup best strikers, each scoring 10 goals. Team Colombia Captain Jhon Pinilla received the best player honors.
