Belarus marks Knowledge Day

Belarus marks Knowledge Day on 1 September. On the day schools host back-to-school ceremonies. The theme of the first lesson is Belarus and I – Dialogue of Peace and Development.

According to the Education Ministry, the total number of students will remain at the level of the previous academic year (there were 1,085,000 students last year). More than 2,800 schools will operate across the country. About 170,000 students of vocational schools and 238,500 students of 49 institutions of higher education will be mastering professional skills in the new academic year.
