PARI Commonwealth Cup in Raubichi: men's 12.5km pursuit

The fourth leg of the PARI Commonwealth Cup took place at the Raubichi Olympic Training Center on 19-22 January. Competing were over 60 best Belarusian and Russian biathletes.

Dzinara Alimbekava-Smolskaya of Belarus came in fourth in the women’s 7.5km sprint on 19 January. The leader of the Belarusian national biathlon team, 2018 Olympic champion finished 24.4 seconds behind the winner, with two penalties. Russian athletes occupied the entire podium: Larisa Kuklina (21:09.6, clean shooting), Natalia Shevchenko (8.6 seconds back; one penalty), Anastasia Shevchenko (23.8 seconds back; clean shooting).

On 20 January the men’s 10km sprint was won by clean-shooting Dzmitry Lazouski of Belarus in 23:11.7. Second was Russia’s Daniil Serokhvostov (1.8 seconds back; one penalty). Eduard Latypov of Russia came in third (15.1 seconds back; two penalties). The leader of the PARI Commonwealth Cup total score Anton Smolski of Belarus finished sixth (32 seconds back; two penalties).

Raubichi hosted the men’s and women’s pursuits on 21 January and men’s and women’s mass starts on 22 January. 

The program on Sunday also included the Champions Race featuring retired Belarusian and Russian biathletes, including winners and medalists of the Olympic Games, World Cups, world and European championships.
