On 4 November, world ballet stars came to Minsk to congratulate the People's Artist of the USSR and Belarus Valentin Elizariev. The program included scenes from master's most iconic works: "Oh Fortuna" from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, Russian dance from Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, adagios from Pyotr Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker and Aram Khachaturian's Spartacus, Dance of Knights from Sergey Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, "Ave, Eva" from Andrei Petrov's Creation of the World and dance routines of the invited guests.
That evening on the stage were the People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Tsiskaridze and Angelina Vorontsova (Mikhailovsky Theater, St Petersburg); Elizaveta Kokoreva and Igor Tsvirko (Bolshoi Theater of Russia, Moscow), Lyubov Andreyeva and Igor Subbotin (Eifman Ballet, St Petersburg), Maria Ilyushkina and Nikita Korneyev (Mariinsky Theater, St Petersburg), Shugyla Adepkhan and Yerkin Rakhmatullayev (Astana Opera Theater, Kazakhstan), Shiori Fukuda and Mstislav Arefiev (Russian Ballet, Moscow), Olesya Roslanova and Mikhail Evgenov (Kremlin Ballet, Moscow), Ksenia Ovsyanick (Staatsballett Berlin), Alexander Mogilev (head of the ETO Russian Dance Company, Moscow). The People's Artists Irina Eromkina and Anton Kravchenko, Honored Artist Liudmila Khitrova and Even Capitaine appeared on the stage of the native Bolshoi Theater of Belarus.
The Honored Artist of Russia, Principal Ballet Master Igor Kolb presented a gift to the Master. The hero of the day himself, Maestro Elizariev, came out to the audience. The concert also featured young artists: students of the Vaganova Ballet Academy St Petersburg, Moscow State Academy of Choreography and Belarusian State Choreographic College, as well as chorus, ballet, orchestra and even opera artists of the theater. Nikolai Koliadko and Vladimir Ovodok were conducting. The director of the evening was Anna Motornaya.
