Young Belarusian singer Yelisei Kasich has won the Grand Prix of the International Children’s Song Contest. The young hopeful received the award from Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko at the opening ceremony of the 31st edition of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 14 July.
The Belarusian contestant performed the song The Sky is on Fire written by Valery Shmat. The young artist got the maximum score of 70 points.
Russia’s Yulia Gavrilova received the first-degree diploma. The second-degree diploma went to Kazakhstan’s Alinur Khamzin and Uzbekistan’s Firdavs Avezov. The third-degree diploma was presented to Zhaklin Kostadinova of Bulgaria and Rodrigo Villegas of Mexico.
