Minsk-based factory Kamvol is one of the largest full-cycle light industry enterprises in the post-Soviet space. It runs the entire textile production cycle, from manufacturing yarn to the production of fabrics and clothing collections. Its assortment features fabrics for suits and dresses, half-woolen, knitted and weaving yarn, own brands of men’s and women’s apparel. Kamvol sells domestically only a tiny fraction of its products. The bulk of the output is sold around the world.

The history of Kamvol dates back to 1951, when a decision was made to build a worsted mill in the capital city of the BSSR. In 1955, carding and spinning workshops were launched and the first yarn rolled off the production line. The following year, the first meters of unbleached fabric were produced, and three years later a finishing production was put into operation.

When Belarus gained independence, Minsk Worsted Mill was transformed into a joint-stock company and renamed into Kamvol in 1996. In 2017, the company launched an upgrade program to produce business and economy-class fabrics that can compete in foreign markets.

Today Kamvol manufactures fabrics with different wool content for dresses, suits, trousers and jackets, and special-purpose fabrics. The lineup includes woolen fabrics with the addition of both natural and synthetic threads: polyester, viscose, elastane and linen. In keeping with the latest trends, the company markets not only yarn and fabrics but also finished products. The company's design center makes its own apparel collections: LEMONGRASS for men and KAMVOL Collection for women.

Business attire for Belarusian and foreign companies is another popular line of the company’s activities. Kamvol also plans to work with Russian partners on capsule collections from popular designers.

Today Kamvol boasts a full manufacturing chain. In 2022 the company is set to introduce its second cloth-manufacturing line to produce fabrics for coats, jackets, and hats. The production of technical and instrumental cloth is also among the plans.

Throughout its history, Minsk-based Kamvol has sold fabrics to more than 30 countries. Today the geography of its exports is wide: Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Serbia and many others.
