The 29th edition of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk wrapped up with a gala concert.
The final events of the festival featured the second part of the 29th edition of the 2020 Vitebsk Song Contest. The Lyra Award went to Belarus’ Roman Voloznev. He also got the Vladimir Mulyavin Award for ‘the best presentation of the national theme and excellent performance’.
The Special Prize of the Belarusian President “Slavic Hope” went to Ukraine’s Elina Ivashchenko. The Lyra Award was also bestowed upon Grand Prix holder of the 18th edition of the 2020 Vitebsk Junior Song Contest Angelina Lomako from Belarus.
After the Vitebsk Song Contest was over, the audience welcomed famous artists. The loudest applause went to Lolita. Her songs made some people dance.
Other artists that took to the stage included Soso Pavliashvili, Taisiya Povaliy, Oleg Gazmanov, Aleksandr Solodukha, Eduard Khanok, Vladimir Danilets and Vladimir Moiseyenko, Diana Gurtskaya, Varvara, Alina Artz, Aleksei Khlestov, Sasha Nemo, Tomas N’evergreen (Denmark and many others).
The closing ceremony culminated with fireworks over the Summer Amphitheater. This year the festival lasted four days instead of ten. Next year the festival will mark its 30th anniversary.
