2nd European Games in Minsk: Wrestling

The program of the 2nd European Games featured Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s wrestling competitions. A total of 288 athletes competed in 18 medal events.

Team Belarus picked up seven medals: three gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

In Greco-Roman wrestling Kiryl Hryshchanka won gold in the -130kg, Aliaksandr Hrabovik silver in the -97kg and Soslan Daurov bronze in the -67kg.

In freestyle wrestling Ali Shabanau took the Men’s 86kg silver and Aliaksandr Hushtyn secured the Men’s 97kg bronze.

In the women’s wrestling tournament Belarusian Iryna Kurachkina was victorious in the Women’s 57kg gold and Vasilisa Marzaliuk in the Women’s 76kg gold.
