The bronze sculpture of Salvador Dali's Triumphant Elephant almost 6 meters high was unveiled in Minsk downtown, at the crossing of Zybitskaya Street and Gertsena Street, on 14 March.
The first sculpture of the Triumphant Elephant was made in 1984. The elephant with unnaturally long and fragile legs first appeared in Dali's painting The Temptation of St. Anthony in 1946 and became one of the artist's favorite images. The sculpture was earlier showcased in Shanghai, Bahrain, Dubai, Haifa and Liege.
