Healthcare of Belarus 2019: the largest medical forum opens in Minsk
The 26th edition of the Healthcare of Belarus international expoopened in Minsk on 12 March. The expo will run through 15 March. It brought together over 200 exhibitors from 15 countries, including Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Israel, India, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and the Republic of Korea. Among the participants are the world’s leading manufacturers of medical equipment, medical products, consumables, dental equipment and pharmaceuticals.
Belarus’ Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko said at the opening ceremony that the expo showcases the latest in medical equipment, and this equipment is already available in the country’s healthcare facilities. Original medicines and generic drugs developed by Belarusian companies are incorporated into treatment protocols and used in disease prevention activities.
A business program is running on the sidelines of the forum. It features seminars, roundtable sessions, panel discussions, presentations, and conferences. The highlight of the business program isthe secondinternational conference “e-Health – digital transformation of the healthcare system of the Republic of Belarus”.
