Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko lights a Christmas candle

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko lit a Christmas candle in the Memorial Church of All Saints on 7 January. He wished Merry Christmas to the clergy and the parish and made an important address to Belarusians. The consecration of the main altar of the church by Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill was the main religious event for Orthodox believers in Belarus in 2018. The church that was built in independent Belarus is a symbol of spiritual unity of all people living in the country.
