173 grams short of the Guinness record: a giant pepper from Grodno
30 Aug 2018

The heaviest bell pepper on the Guinness Book of Records weighs 695 grams. It has been grown by a Canadian farmer. The pepper grown by Galina Goyd is very close to the record: 522 grams. Galina said she did not use any special breeding seeds. “Just a regular bell pepper. I can't even remember where I bought the seeds. They are ordinary. I have not altered my regular pepper growing practices,” she noted.
