The 13th Festival of National Cultures kicked off in Grodno on 3 June. Over the years, the festival has become one of the city's most recognizable brands. It first took place in 1996 and has been held since then every two years. This year the festival featured 18 national pavilions where representatives of more than 30 ethnicities presented their culture, traditions, unique costumes and, of course, cuisine.
Visitors got a chance to feel the vibe of different countries, listen to national music or take part in dance workshops and see the diversity of nationalities that live in Belarus. Rounding up the concert in the evening was a display of spectacular fireworks.
On 5 June, the Festival of National Cultures included a number of events at the Augustow Canal. The program comprised a gastrofest featuring a variety of Belarusian dishes, open competitions with funny obstacles and many more. Performing on the main stage were folk ensembles and dance companies.
