Saint Euphrosyne commemorative events in Polotsk

Polotsk played host to the events to commemorate Saint Euphrosyne of Polotsk on 5 June. Every year events dedicated to Euphrosyne of Polotsk bring together a great number of believers and pilgrims from all over Belarus. This year, the number of participants was much smaller due to the epidemiological situation. All public events were held in the open air and all safety rules were observed. 

Pilgrims got together at the Saint Sophia Cathedral to commemorate Saint Euphrosyne of Polotsk. A church service was followed by a religious procession from the Saint Sophia Cathedral to the Saint Euphrosyne Convent. Pilgrims laid flowers at the monuments to Saint Euphrosyne of Polotsk and Saint Nicholas and pray on their way to the Saint Euphrosyne Convent. 

There was a number of events to commemorate Saint Euphrosyne of Polotsk, including religious education projects, online marathons, video marathons, and other thematic events in cultural and educational institutions of Polotsk.
