People's Artist of Belarus Leonid Shchemelev is 95!

On 5 February, the birthday of People's Artist of Belarus Leonid Shchemelev, the National Art Museum hosted a grand celebration. A lot of people came to wish happy 95th birthday to the famous artist and to see the exhibition featuring 60 best works of the artist.

With 70 years in the Belarusian art - from the post-war student to the outstanding master of the 21st century, Leonid Shchemelev has become an example of an exceptional human and creative longevity, persistence and loyalty to the chosen path.

The guests of the event were treated to classical music performed by pianist Vladislav Shobik.
