New Year's Eve: Belarus rings in 2021

Controversial, challenging and exciting 2020 is finally behind us. Ahead is 2021 which will be hopefully brighter and better for us all. May this year bring solutions to the problems of the past months. May it bring us joy and happiness, successes and victories, and most importantly, love without which the life is incomplete!  

Belarus celebrated this long-awaited New Year's Eve still observing health safety measures, like the whole world. Many celebrated it at home in a cozy family setting, with video and phone calls to loved ones, since large parties were a no option. A lot of people took to the streets to usher in the New Year noisy and big. Theatrical performances and concerts, fairs, festive photo zones, music, smiles, congratulations, fireworks – we had it all. Even poor rainy weather did not spoil our good spirits.
