Festival of National Cultures in Grodno has brought together 200 thousands of people from all over Belarus. The main theme of this year’s festival was family and family values, or in a broader sense – a family of peoples (35 diasporas) living peacefully with each other in Belarus. Representatives of Argentina, Mongolia, Cameroon, and Egypt planted trees on the Friendship Alley in Kolozha Park; Nigerians and Pakistanis added exotic seedlings. In line with an established tradition, the festival kicked off with a flamboyant procession of participants in national costumes, who marched to Sovetskaya Square singing and dancing. There were 19 national stands that offered visitors authentic entertainments and, of course, delicious national cuisine.
