One of the main holidays on the church calendar, Christmas, was celebrated by Orthodox Christians on 7 January. Believers gathered in churches to light candles, say prayers and exchange the sincerest and warmest greetings… The Christmas mass began at all the Orthodox churches across the country at midnight to finish the 40-day Lent. The service at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk was led by Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Pavel, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.
