A need arouse to mobilize resources and ramp up the production. Not only large specialized enterprises but also small companies, sewing workshops and fashion studios, educational institutions, even theater workshops have joined the effort to manufacture face masks.
Of course, healthcare professionals, especially those won the frontline, need the most reliable professional means of protection certified as medical products. Therefore, prompt provision of hospitals and clinics with respirators, protective screens, glasses and masks, special clothing, gloves and other PPE is controlled at the highest level. Orders have been issued to step up work and provide healthcare workers with everything they need. Private businesses, government agencies and concerned citizens also support doctors at this difficult time.
Face masks cannot guarantee 100% protection against communicable diseases. Today, experts are discussing pros and cons of using face masks. They say that if a face mask is used improperly and worn for longer than the prescribed period of time, it can only exacerbate the situation. With the right approach, however, a face mask is the best means of primary protection from touching you face and spreading the virus if you are ill.
Hand sanitizers, surface and equipment disinfectants, medical cleaning agents are as important as ever today. Manufacturers of anti-viral products have ramped up the output, while a big number of other Belarusian enterprises have switched to the production of these much-needed goods.
